It is our desire as a congregation to come alongside those who are grieving the loss of a loved one with great care and compassion. Upon the death of a loved one, please contact our office (763-559-4300) to inquire about hosting the funeral at our church. As soon as possible, you will be contacted by a Pastor who will assist you in planning the funeral service.
The family should be prepared to cover the following fees and expenses:
- Janitorial Services: $50-$100
- Worship Leader and Accompanists: $100-$150
- Audio/Visual Technician: $50
- Pastor & Soloist: an honorarium as determined by the family
- All costs related to a meal or reception
The Office Administrator will send the family a statement of all Plymouth Covenant funeral expenses approximately one week after the service. All fees should be paid upon receipt of this statement. The church office should be contacted by the family if some of these expenses were prepaid through their funeral home. One check can be written to Plymouth Covenant Church and the proper amounts will be distributed to each participant.
We don't see our facility as a "rental" for funeral services. We view these ceremonies as deeply spiritual and ministry opportunities that should be officiated and overseen by a member of our pastoral team. Only in rare cases do we make an exception to this practice at Plymouth Covenant.
