First of all, submit your wedding application to the church office. This application can be picked up at the church or it can be downloaded here. Please call the office (763-559-4300) to see if your ceremony date is still available.
You can request a specific pastor to officiate at your ceremony, but your completed application will be brought to the next pastoral team meeting where the pastoral team will determine together who would be best suited and available for your counselling and ceremony. It is our church policy to discourage our pastors from officiating at a Saturday wedding when they are scheduled to preach that evening at a regular worship service. As soon as possible, we will contact you to schedule an interview with a member of our pastoral staff to discuss your wedding plans.
After this pastoral interview, you will submit a signed copy of the marriage agreement and a $150 non-refundable deposit to the church office. This amount will be deducted from your wedding fees. Upon receipt of this non-refundable deposit, we will reserve your date on our calendar and contact you to schedule your first premarital counseling sessions.
How much will it cost to have a wedding at PCC?
It will cost $500 for a traditional Minnesota wedding. A wedding coordinator and the pastor will work with you to make this a special day by assisting you with your ceremony preparations. During the ceremony you will have access to our foyer, sanctuary, dressing rooms, and decorations. We anticipate that you will be scheduling a rehearsal and photo session prior to the ceremony. This fee will cover the honorarium for the wedding coordinator, pastor, janitor and sound technician.
It will cost $300 for a smaller wedding of less than 100 people in our chapel area called The Refinery. With the smaller wedding, you would not have a wedding coordinator nor have access to our dressing rooms, decorations, nor be arriving before the ceremony for wedding photos. This fee would cover the honorarium for the pastor, janitor and sound technician.
In addition to the wedding fee, we require a damage deposit of $75. If there is no damage, this amount will be returned after the ceremony. We encourage you to consider giving an honorarium to those who provide special music or serve as musicians. Feel free to speak with our Wedding Coordinator for suggestions.
What are the Wedding Coordinator’s responsibilities?
- provide a tour of the facility and discuss the details of your wedding
- instruct the wedding party on church policy and the use of church property
- arrange for a sound technician and janitor
- be available during the rehearsal and wedding to assist the wedding party
What do we expect from the couple as they prepare for marriage?
We believe it is not enough to plan a beautiful wedding day, a couple must make thorough preparations for a beautiful life together. The Couple will meet with the officiating pastor for at least six counseling sessions. In addition, we would like the couple to regularly attend worship services at our church or at another evangelical church that is near their home prior to the marriage ceremony.
