We are pleased to announce that we have added Charlene (Char) Peterson to our staff as our new Kingdom Kids Director.  Char's official first weekend on the job will be May 15 & 16, but she will be at all services the weekend before to greet kids, families and volunteers.

Char is married to Ryan and they have two children...Taylor (5th grade) and Jenae (1st grade).  Although Char and Ryan are both graduates of Bethel College, they come to us from sunny California.  Char has served in many ministry settings both as a volunteer and as paid staff.  Her latest ministry position was at New Life Community Church in Pismo Beach as their Early Childhood Director.  They relocated to Minnesota, where Ryan has family, to pursue different career paths and step outside California's high cost of living.  Having attended Bethel, they are well aware of our Minnesota winters and they are not intimidated!

Char is excited to begin ministry among us and will be the champion for our four early childhood ministry areas:  Nursery, First Fruits, KidolodDeo and our Cubbies program.  She is passionate about Jesus, little kids and families...just the type of person we prayed God would send! 

Char wants to let you know about a disability she has that affects her vision...while she can see things near to her, distinguishing people from a distance is very difficult.    If you wave or shout from across the room, there is a good chance she will not know who is greeting her.  So when you say hello, be sure to come close and introduce yourself.  You will want to do that anyway, so you can fuly appreciate the warmth and friendliness of her character.  Join us in welcoming Char to our pastoral team!
