International Night – Evening of Art
Evening of Art depicting God’s love and Peace
(Art’s competition celebrating International Day of Non-Violence)
United Nations has declared October 2nd as The International Day of Non-Violence as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, who was born on October 2, 1869. UN’s desire was to “disseminate the message of non-violence…to secure a culture of peace, tolerance, understanding and non-violence around the world“.
To celebrate this sentiment the International Ministries of Plymouth Covenant Church would like to invite you for an evening of Art competition. The topic for this art competition is “Non-Violence,” “Love,” and “Peace”. The event is to promote God’s Love and Peace for all humankind & it’s a great opportunity to create a positive impact with creativity!
What is the competition?: Create a poster based on the theme of Non-Violence, Love, and Peace
Who can compete?: Group 1: Age between 5-10 years; Group 2: Age between 11-15 years
Where?: Plymouth Covenant Church, 4300 Vicksburg Lane N, Plymouth. MN 55446 (Gymnasium)
Date: Friday October 9th 2020
Time: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Certificate and prizes will be distributed to 1st and 2nd placed winners
All COVID precautions will be taken and social distancing in place
Kids, Adults and Families all are welcome!
**We will provide the poster paper, the participants will need to bring coloring material.
