New Sermon Series—The RED LETTERS

Have you read the red letters in the bible? Why do these letters continue to stand out in the Word and in our World?

In 1899 the first modern red letter edition of the New Testament was published. In these special bibles the words of Jesus were marked by printing them with red letters.

Have the red letters caught your attention? They can be life-changing. They might shock you. They will threaten your thinking, your comfort, your security and your priorities. If you listen to them, they could turn your world upside down and give you a new understanding of what it means to be blessed.

 “Blessed are you who are poor,
 for yours is the kingdom of God.
 Blessed are you who hunger now,
 for you will be satisfied.
 Blessed are you who weep now,
 for you will laugh.
 Blessed are you when men hate you,
 when they exclude you and insult you
 and reject your name as evil,
 because of the Son of Man.
 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy,
 because great is your reward in heaven.”
