SPECIAL PROGRAMMING ON WEDNESDAY:

It is our desire as a church to ripple across our world as we scatter to bless our neighbors. But we should ask, “Who is my neighbor?” Good question! After Wednesday dinner we go on four tours as a part of our Scatter Week to get help you learn more about your neighbors.

1) Global Tour: We will receive a passport to tour the world under the leadership of our Children’s Minstry and Mission Commission. The event will not only be suitable and engaging for children, but also for all ages. Stay and take the Global Tour together as a family or individual… or leave your children with our capable leaders as you leave the building on one of the other three tours.

2) South Minneapolis: We will join a profession tour with City Vision. We will travel through the most diverse neighborhood in America. The tour observations and conversations will be directed towards adults, but mature young people would be welcome. Take advantage of this great opportunity since this tour normally costs about $20/person.

3) Muslim Neighbors: The Islamic Center of Minnesota is one of the oldest Muslim organizations in the state. It serves the Metropolitan area by providing educational seminars, community outreach, Muslim speakers, a food shelf, funeral/marriage services, youth activities, a free medical clinic, Arabic classes and is home to one of the longest-running interfaith dialogues in the nation.

A word of Caution: the bus tour to the Isalmic Center will be visiting a place of worship where spiritual warfare is heightened. The tour group will be led by a strong Christian leader from our church, but the group will be guided by individuals from the center. We will take some time to debrief and pray on the bus following the tour. We recommend that children and anyone uncomfortable with visiting these sites remain at church for the Global Tour.

PLEASE SIGNUP TODAY AND RESERVE YOUR SEAT ON THE BUS

SPECIAL PROGRAMMING ON THURSDAY:

We will be packing over 40,000 meals with Harvest Pack on Thursday evening. Come and enjoy our free meal and worship — then help us feed our community and world.

DON’T MISS THE PICNIC IN THE PARK: On Sunday, June 9, we invite you to bring your family, friends and neighbors to our “Picnic in the Park” at the Hilde Center from 4:30-7:30. There will be great food, great fun and a great program — and it is all FREE!

Save the date for this StayMission and enjoy this great adventure with us. If you have any questions, please contact a member of the pastoral team – they can be a little scattered so be patient 🙂
