Reflect the True Life of Heaven

Philippi was a Roman colony, filled with people who were proud of their citizenship and eager to reflect the culture of Rome in their city. Paul takes that familiar idea and lifts the eyes of the church to something far greater. He reminds them that their truest citizenship is not earthly, but heavenly. And with that identity comes a calling: to bring the life and culture of heaven into the world around them.
