Our current 8th grade class is invited to join us for the first ever 8th grade Adventure Trip this summer! This adventure and rite of passage trip will stretch students to try new things and put a deeper trust in God. We will stay at Adventurous Christians just outside the Boundary Waters and get to do a host of epic adventures (hiking, canoeing, tenting) as we talk about what it means to be a man or woman of God.
Purpose/Goals of the Trip:
a. Embrace our identity in God: Help students view themselves from a Biblical perspective and how God created us to be.
b. Develop deeper relationships and unity in the group through shared experiences.
c. Provide opportunities for encounters with God and opportunities for stretching and spiritual growth.
d. Transition them from the middle school ministry IMPACT to the high school ministry IGNITE.
Cost of the trip is $550.
The initial deposit is $200 when you register. The final payment will be due June 25. We do have some fundraising options, if your student would like to participate in a fundraiser. Students will also be responsible for a few meals on the way up or down. We need a minimum of 10 students to make this trip happen. Please register by April 14. That will help us know how big our team is and get our transportation lined up. Our plan is to have our adult leaders drive, but if we have a bigger group we will look to rent a bus.
